The Clown Play

A voyage in the land of Clown, King of Imbeciles, touching and funny, from poetic to grotesque.
We will explore the elements of the clown state and play as well as the tools of theatrical improvisation. 
A thorough research of the clown's play, character and the strategies for stage and comedy devising.
The Clown's Journey will comprise:

• the Clown State: the genuine authentic presence of the actor, stripped off of all theatrical supports (a role, text, costume, etc.) and the play it gives birth too
• Clown Play : exploring this clown state in the encounter with the audience, a partner, an object, with the unpredictable
• "Physication": the play of physical expression of the emotion
• The play of movement and emotions (dynamics, rhythms, precision and amplification)
• Practicing the lazzo, the skill performance and the act with clowns
• The Clown Character : throughout this journey, we will gather the first fundamentals elements for the character of each clown
